Rajasthan is one of our favorite places in India, and locals there have perfected the Punja loom technique that finds its apex in this Kelim rug. Rugs are an excellent way to demarcate a workspace, especially if it is sharing a room with a living, sleeping or eating space. The desk features 3 inward-angled drawers that disappear from many angles. The hand-waxed wood sliders allow them to be open and closed smoothly with even your pinky. We used ingenious mortice and tenon joints instead of screws to lend elegance and sturdiness to the design. Can be set up in a spacious bedroom or living room, or for the lucky among us, a room of its own.
