But Waldo, as he was known to his friends, would have swiftly rejoined- this is the desk where you will write your own. Designed to become a cornerstone of your working life, this desk is a dark rich expanse of a Perch, a canvas to lay out your thoughts, a haven to kick up your feet. Inspired by the minimalism and simplicity of Bauhaus designers like Marcel Breuer, this desk is a collaboration between Perch and one of our favorite high end furniture designers here in NYC. Fashioned entirely from solid Mahogany and handcrafted by skilled carpenters in Nicaragua, this desk is built to be handed down, and appreciates with time. The desk features 3 inward-angled drawers that disappear from many angles. The hand-waxed wood sliders allow them to be open and closed smoothly with even your pinky. We used ingenious mortice and tenon joints instead of screws to lend elegance and sturdiness to the design. Can be set up in a spacious bedroom or living room, or for the lucky among us, a room of its own.
